RO Plant Maintenance, Repair and Membrane Replacement

The first sign of a tired RO plant is usually on the TDS meter. Output that read low after installation creeps up week by week.

Regular RO plant maintenance catches it while a cartridge change is all it needs.

Leave it, and the membrane and the pump pushing against it both wear out sooner.

What we service

Home RO and 3 stage UV filters, commercial RO plants, industrial plants, water filter (UF) plants and water softeners.

Plant installed by someone else? Send its details on WhatsApp and we will tell you if we can service it.

Signs your plant needs attention

  • TDS at the outlet is rising.
  • Less water than before, or the tank takes longer to fill.
  • The pump runs but pressure is low, or it keeps switching on and off.
  • Leaks or drips at housings and joints.
  • Water tastes or smells odd from storage.

RO membrane replacement and cartridge changes

Sediment and carbon cartridges are consumables. They clog or get used up, and how fast depends on your water and how much you draw.

An RO membrane lasts longer, but there is no honest fixed interval: a membrane on a plant with good pre-treatment and low TDS feed water lasts far longer than one on a hard boring with no softener or antiscalant.

We replace cartridges and RO membranes for home units and plants.

Home membranes are rated by daily output in GPD, and plant membranes come as 4 inch or 8 inch elements.

How long filter parts usually last
PartUsual life
Sediment cartridge 3 to 6 months
Carbon cartridge 6 to 12 months
RO membrane 2 to 3 years
UV lamp 12 months

Antiscalant and dosing pumps

Commercial and industrial plants rely on antiscalant dosing to keep hardness from scaling the membranes.

An empty dosing tank or a stuck dosing pump is a common reason membranes fail early. Check both whenever you check the TDS.

Maintenance contracts

For water shops, schools, hospitals and factories, a breakdown costs more than the servicing.

We offer maintenance contracts with scheduled visits, set to your plant's size and use.

As a market guide, yearly upkeep of a filtration plant runs about PKR 10,000 to 50,000 (October 2026).

Water filter installation

New filters and plants are installed by our own team, including the home water filters and RO plants we supply.

Site visits are free anywhere inside Sialkot district. Ask about the service call charge when you book a repair.

Tank cleaning for our plant customers

If we installed your plant, we can also clean the storage tank it fills or draws from. Ask for it when you book a service visit. We do not offer tank cleaning as a separate service.

Frequently Asked Questions

How often should RO cartridges be changed?

It depends on your water and how much you use. As a rough guide, sediment cartridges last 3 to 6 months and carbon 6 to 12 months.

A rising TDS reading tells you when something is due sooner.

How long does an RO membrane last?

Many home membranes last 2 to 3 years, but there is no fixed answer. Good pre-treatment and low TDS feed water make a membrane last much longer.

Watch the outlet TDS: when it climbs and stays up after a cartridge change, the membrane is due.

What does antiscalant do in an RO plant?

It stops calcium and other minerals from forming scale on the membrane surface, which would block it and push the TDS up.

Do you offer maintenance contracts?

Yes, for homes, shops and factories. Ask us for the terms for your plant.

Which areas do you cover for service?

Anywhere in Pakistan, from our head office in Sialkot. The service areas page has the details.
