Industrial RO Plants and Water Treatment for Factories
A surgical instrument unit rinsing parts after polishing and a sports goods factory feeding a steam boiler need very different water.
An industrial RO plant is often part of the answer, but rarely all of it.
Water treatment plant for factories: what the water is for
- Rinse water. Polishing, plating and passivation lines need clean rinse water so parts dry without spots or residue.
- Boiler feed. Hard water scales boiler tubes. Scale works like insulation, so the boiler burns more fuel for the same steam.
- Cooling. Hardness and dirt foul heat exchangers and cooling lines.
- Drinking water. Canteens and staff drinking points need the same care as any commercial RO plant.
Boiler feed water: softener or RO?
A water softener removes hardness, the main cause of scale. An RO plant also lowers TDS, so the boiler needs less blowdown.
Which one you need depends on the boiler's pressure and the manufacturer's feed water specification.
Send us that specification with your water report.
Industrial RO plant: what is included
Industrial plants use the same stages as a commercial RO, built for longer running hours: multimedia and carbon filters, a softener or antiscalant dosing, cartridge filters, a high pressure pump, membrane housings, and instruments for flow, pressure and conductivity.
Connections for cleaning the membranes in place are part of a proper design.
If your process needs lower conductivity than RO alone gives, a polishing stage such as mixed bed deionisation can be added after the RO, so tell us the specification.
What we need from you
- A full laboratory report of the raw water.
- Daily volume, and the peak flow during production hours.
- Running hours, and how load shedding is covered (generator, solar or none).
- The specification of your boiler or process, if there is one.
- Space and access for the plant.
A site visit is free anywhere inside Sialkot district.
Wastewater is a separate job
This page covers water coming into the factory.
Treating factory wastewater or tannery effluent needs an effluent treatment plant, which is a different system.
Maintenance contracts
A plant that stops mid-shift costs more than its servicing. We offer maintenance contracts for factory plants. See RO plant maintenance.
Price
Industrial plants are quoted after the lab report and a site visit.
As a guide, market prices in October 2026 start at around PKR 1.2 million for plants of 3,000 LPH and above. See the full price list.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between a commercial and an industrial RO plant?
Industrial plants run longer hours, treat harder or dirtier feed water and need more pre-treatment and instrumentation. The membrane process is the same.
Do we need a softener before an industrial RO?
If the water is very hard, yes. With moderate hardness, antiscalant dosing protects the membranes. The lab report decides.
Can RO water go straight into a boiler?
Often yes for low and medium pressure boilers, but follow the boiler maker's feed water specification.
Do you offer maintenance contracts for factories?
Yes. Ask us for the terms for your plant size.
Is the site visit free?
Yes, anywhere inside Sialkot district, including Daska and Sambrial. Outside the district a visit charge applies.
Send us your water report
Share the lab report, your daily volume and your boiler or process specification on WhatsApp, and we will come back with a design and a quote.
General water test free, by TCS from any city. Site visits are free inside Sialkot district. In other cities, the visit charge depends on distance, so ask us first.
